Fayette man jailed after burglary investigation

On Saturday at approx 11 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Scott L Kepler, age 34 of 4333 State Route 414 in Fayette, For burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief 4th, and petit larceny.It is alleged that on February 6th at about 3 am Kepler unlawfully entered a Fayette business by breaking a window and crawling inside. While inside Kepler ransacked the cash register, boxes, and envelopes in order to find money. After stealing the money, Kepler then broke into two arcade style machines and stole the money out of them.Kepler was arrested and arraigned before Town Justice Sapio of Fayette and was sent to the Seneca County Correctional Facility without bail since Kepler has two prior felony convictions. Kepler is scheduled to reappear on February 18th at 5 pm for further court action. The Investigation into Keplers actions is ongoing.
